Trike Trek!

This Thursday, we got to participate in our annual PTO fundraiser, Trike Trek!  I hope you enjoy these pictures!

 I loved all of the road signs.  This was way more meaningful to us, since we had just finished learning about transportation!

Thank you to PTO for putting this together!  They spent a lot of time creating the "town" for the kids to ride around in, and we had a blast!

CWES Explorer of the Week!

I am sure you have heard of the "yellow tickets" that some students have been receiving.  Your child is talking about a "Caught BEE-ing good" certificate!  Each day, teachers are looking for children making great choices, especially in the hallway, or anywhere outside the classroom.  A child can receive a ticket from any teacher.  If they receive a yellow certificate, they get to go to the office and pick out a prize.  Mrs. Meadows cuts off the bottom portion of the ticket and it goes into a kindergarten jar.  Each Friday, Mrs. Snyder draws a winner for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades to be the Explorer of the Week!  If your name is drawn, you receive a certificate, your name announced on the morning news, and you are featured on the bulletin board by P.E.!  It is a BIG DEAL!  Since we have started announcing CWES Explorer of the Week, we have had THREE friends from our class WIN!  Please check out the "Hall of Fame" tab to see pictures of friends who have won!
